Our Journey to One Brand

The story of Circadia begins a century ago, with two companies built on a shared belief: that the spaces where we work should help us thrive. In 1925, Scott Rice launched as a Steelcase dealership in Kansas City, while Color Art opened its doors in St. Louis in 1946—first as a print shop, then expanding into workplace solutions. Each brought its own culture of innovation and commitment to service, evolving to meet the changing needs of modern businesses.

In 2003, these two organizations merged, combining decades of experience, talent and trust. It was a transformational moment—one that allowed us to deepen our expertise and offer a more integrated, client-centered approach. Over the next two decades, we expanded our capabilities across design, technology and installation, helping companies in healthcare, education, corporate and government sectors reimagine what a workspace could be.

In 2025, we became one brand: Circadia. Inspired by the rhythm of life and work, the Circadia name reflects our belief that people and place should move in harmony. Today, we continue to lead with purpose—creating environments where people feel empowered, connected and equipped to do their best work.
